Never! At most, I'd tuck the bumpers a little, there are mount kits for that and they look really good.

Switching it back to the previous bodyshell would be pointless, as this one actually looks great as well.

They really sell kits for that? That's nice. So many good looking cars of the mid to late 70s were ruined by the huge bumpers that jutted out like Jay Leno's chin.

According to the thread where I got the picture from, yup. Mounting brackets from the 68~72 model years adapted to the 73~74 Nova's bumper. The only hard work is narrowing the bumper so it hugs tightly at the corners as well.
